Antique Victorian medallion in yellow gold, diamonds and turquoise
Antique and distinctive Victorian locket (circa 1880-1900) made of 14-carat yellow gold.
The turquoise cabochons measure from 2 to 3 mm. A small pink diamond is estimated at 0.02 carat.
This magnificent handcrafted locket, finely engraved, features a dome of turquoise cabochons, adorned at its center with a diamond-set star—a nod to the celestial world. The back opens to slip in a photo or keepsake. This jewel is an exceptional and unique example of late Victorian jewelry art. The bail measures 5 mm and can accommodate a thick chain. It comes with its original red leather case, lined with sky blue velvet (a true gem!).
Good condition. We have not cleaned the piece in order to preserve its patina and collector's value.
Metal and hallmark: 14-carat yellow gold. The pendant does not bear a hallmark, but it has been tested and is confirmed to be 14-carat gold.
