Distinct Victorian antique micro-mosaic ring made of 14-carat yellow gold (circa 1880 to 1900).
Small glass "tiles" adorn the setting to create the cherub motif.
This exquisitely detailed ring features two cherubs holding a basket of flowers. Crafted from tiny black and white tesserae, the scene is set in a round mount adorned with rope details. This ring is one of the finest examples of Victorian micro-mosaic jewelry, and its condition is excellent considering its age.
We have not cleaned the ring in order to preserve its patina and collector's value.
Size and dimensions: The ring is size 9 (standard size). The setting measures 19.5 mm (0.76 inch), 8 mm from the finger.
Metal and hallmark: 14-carat yellow gold. The ring is hallmarked "14 carats". The setting has tested positive for 14-carat gold.
