Elaborate antique Victorian locket (circa 1880s to 1900s) crafted in 14k yellow gold.
Two old mine-cut diamonds total approximately 0.25 carats (estimated at IJ color and SI2-I1 clarity).
This beautifully detailed locket features an elaborate design, enhanced with botanical details and a delightful butterfly perched in its center. The back of the pendant opens to accommodate a photo or keepsake (a photo currently adorns the locket and can be removed). This pendant is a beautiful and unique example of late Victorian jewelry. The large bail measures 5mm and can accommodate a thick chain if desired.
The pendant is in good condition, with slight wear. We have not cleaned it to preserve its patina and collectible value.
