Victorian pendant in yellow gold, enamel and precious stone
Distinctive antique pendant in Victorian neo-Etruscan style (circa 1860-1880) made of 14-carat yellow gold.
Small rubies of about 1.5 to 2 mm and an emerald adorn the setting. Small natural pearls of 1 to 1.5 mm frame the mount.
This handcrafted pendant with refined details showcases an array of precious stones – rubies, emeralds, and natural pearls – set in a cross-shaped mount. Turquoise blue enamel decorated with a Greek pattern and classic motifs frames the setting. The back of the pendant opens to slip in a photo or a small precious object. An exceptional and unique piece of jewelry from the late Victorian era. The folding bail measures 4 mm and can accommodate a medium to fine thickness chain.
In good condition, despite a missing part in the scrolls at the top right (see photo). We have not cleaned the piece in order to preserve its patina and collector's value.

Size and dimensions: The pendant measures 2 x 1/2 inches.
Metal and hallmark: 14-carat yellow gold. The pendant does not bear a hallmark, but it has been tested and is confirmed to be 14-carat gold.
