Elaborate antique Victorian diamond & opal crescent moon pendant crafted in 18 karat yellow gold (circa 1880s to 1900s)
12 old mine cut diamonds graduate in size and total an estimated 0.25 carats (estimated at JK color and SI1-I1 clarity). The opal graduates in size from 1.5mm to 4mm.
Set into a classic crescent moon motif, the old mine cut diamonds glimmer, arranged to create a celestial effect, evoking a shimmering night sky. The opals glow with vivid colors flashes of green to turquoise, yellow and purple. The crescent moon motif holds a mystical and enduring charm with a timeless connection to the cosmic world. The piece was converted to a pendant from a brooch.
The pendant is in good condition and was lightly cleaned and polished.

Size & Measurements: The pendant measures 1 1/2 inches in length and is 5.5mm wide (0.21 inches). The bale measures 3mm wide and can accommodate a thin to medium thick chain.
Metal & Hallmark: 18 karat yellow gold. The pendant is not hallmarked though it has tested positive for 18k gold. Note: the bale is 14k yellow gold.
