History and origin
Coming from the famous gem-bearing lands of Itabira, in the heart of Minas Gerais, Brazil, this gemstone belongs to the prestigious family of natural beryls. Collected using artisanal and responsible mining methods, supervised by L. Martin, this rough aquamarine was selected for its absolute clarity and its natural pastel hue, free from any heat or chemical treatment. With a precise weight of 2.125 carats, it embodies the freshness and purity of the great historic Brazilian deposits, revealing a crystalline light blue shade with sparkling water-like reflections.
The art of cutting: the fascination of the mixed trapeze
Offered as a loose, unset gemstone, this piece was fashioned to inspire an exceptional jewelry creation, whether an architectural Solitaire or a Art Deco-style ring. Showing balanced proportions of 11.05 x 7.50 x 4.00 mm, it was entirely cut on August 25, 2026, by the artisan cutter and lapidary L. Sabadie. The choice of the "mixed trapeze" cut combines contemporary geometric lines with carefully worked pavilion facets, specially softened to channel light refraction and provide brilliant sparkle without the slightest area of extinction.
