Pair of sleepers, diamonds, late 19th century, French work.
Adorned with an old-cut cushion-shaped diamond, enhanced with a smaller old-cut diamond, all in a claw setting.
The setting is in 18 carat (750 thousandths) yellow gold and the settings in platinum, eagle's head hallmark. The sleepers fit from the front with a flap closure system at the back.
The main diamonds are approximately 0.50 carats each, presumed color G/H, presumed clarity SI3.
