The long chain, in Austro-Hungarian yellow gold, is called “QUEUE DE RAT” (rat tail), a precious early 20th-century workmanship of remarkable solidity.
The chain was originally made to accompany a pocket watch: the typical strength of this link was specifically designed to support weight.
The necklace is equipped with a teardrop-shaped loop: today suitable for wearing the item even in two or more turns; as a bracelet or with a beautiful pendant.
The gold is bright, the link is perfect and unrestored, the total length is 150 cm (one and a half meters!). It is provided with its original hallmarks: Austro-Hungarian Empire, circa 1910.
