Natural black opal in freeform oval cabochon cut, approximately 8.10 carats (17 mm x 11.4 mm x 7 mm), distinct red/orange/yellow/green play of color in a harlequin pattern on a black background. The opal is of Ethiopian origin. Surrounding the opal are 22 full-cut round diamonds, total weight approximately 0.66 carats (estimated GH color and SI1-I1 clarity). The opal is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips.
