Style
Georgian - The Georgian style is the name given in most English-speaking countries to the range of styles in use between 1720 and 1840. It is named after the first four British monarchs of the Maison of Hanover — George I of Great Britain, George II of Great Britain, George III of the United Kingdom, and George IV of the United Kingdom — who reigned in continuous succession from August 1714 to June 1830.

Technique
This jewel features a filigree decoration, made of fine twisted gold wires in refined patterns, here as elegant small beads. The use of granulation is also noted. Granulation is a technique in which the goldsmith uses tiny metal beads, not unsoldered to the piece, but soldered. Both techniques require exceptional skill and precision from the creator.
Features
On the outside of the ring is a floral V, accompanied by a hallmark that looks like the italic letter "i." There is also a lozenge that could be a hallmark, but could also indicate damage. The V was used between 1817 and 1831 for small domestic objects.
