Style
Georgian - The Georgian style is the name given in most English-speaking countries to all the styles in use between 1720 and 1840. It is eponymous with the first four British monarchs of the Maison of Hanover — George I of Great Britain, George II of Great Britain, George III of the United Kingdom, and George IV of the United Kingdom — who reigned in continuous succession from August 1714 to June 1830.

Technique
This jewel features a filigree design, made of fine gold wires twisted into refined patterns, here elegant small beads. Granulation is also used. Granulation is a technique where the goldsmith uses tiny metal beads, not unsoldered to the piece, but soldered. Both techniques require exceptional skill and precision from the maker.

Features
On the outside of the ring is a lion's head facing left, a Dutch hallmark used from 1814. At one of the corners of a diamond, also on the outside, is a mark that could be damage or a remnant of a hallmark. There is also the capital letter "G".
