Antique coral gold earrings
We present a very interesting pair of antique earrings in red Mediterranean coral full of coral beads. All mounted in 14K gold frame. The round Top has in the center a big coral round piece. The down pending part is a flat drop with a fringe of small corals. A typical Sicilian jewelry probably for a marriage gift. The red coral means prosperity, good luck and protection against the bad spirits.. End of the 19th century from Sicily. The goldsmith's hallmark is on the hooks. 14K Gold (touchstone tested) They are in perfect condition.
