About the model: There was a time when alarm watches represented the height of functionality in horology. Introduced in 1957, the Ref. 7926 marked the beginning of the Tudor Advisor. Unlike the Cricket and Memovox, which used a case with two backs to enhance sound, the Advisor used a modified Rolex Oyster case. In a departure from typical Oyster cases, neither of the crowns bears the signature Rolex coronet. If the crowns are original, both will be unsigned. The upper crown was used to wind, set, and activate the alarm, while the lower crown was responsible for winding the main movement and setting the time.
In 1969, Tudor introduced the Ref. 10050, the successor to the earlier Advisor models. Additionally, the movement was upgraded from the Caliber AS1475 to the Caliber 3745.
