Antique Coral yellow Gold Earrings
We present a very nice pair of antique earrings in 14K gold and red coral. The Top is a round gold embossed motif with a ball of red coral. The large gold drop decorated with a filigree motif has a big piece of red Mediterranean coral.

Very elegant to wear, probably was a traditional marriage gift typical of the Abruzzi region (east of Rome). Wearing red coral was (and still is) considered a good protection against the evil eye and it is bearer of good luck.
End of the 19th century from the Abruzzi region.
14K Gold (touchstone tested). The old goldsmith's hallmark is on the hooks. They are in perfect condition.
