Important vintage ring Signet ring in solid 18-carat yellow gold (750 thousandths), stamped with an eagle's head hallmark and a master goldsmith's lozenge hallmark. French work from the 1950s-1960s, branded. The center features a circular "Médaille d’Amour" engraved with a star pattern and a brilliant gold border, bearing in relief the inscription " + than yesterday – than tomorrow ". The plus is set with a diamond and the minus is adorned with two calibrated rectangular synthetic rubies. The medal is set within a closed twisted gold surround. The bezel is bordered underneath by a beautiful gallery of gold wire, with a two-row scalloped motif. It joins the band with an openwork gold wire loop.

- Condition: Very good, with a few light micro-scratches and a probable old resizing. Beautiful warm color of the gold. This is a splendid, iconic, collectible, symbolic, and very luminous piece of jewelry.
It was in 1907 that a jeweler in Lyon, inspired by a poem by Rosemonde Gérard (1866-1953) dedicated to her husband, the writer Edmond Rostand (1868-1918), author of "Cyrano de Bergerac" in 1897, created: the Médaille d’Amour. He had the idea to transcribe two lines from it: "For you see, each day I love you more Today + than yesterday and much - than tomorrow". The Médaille d’Amour is a constant reminder of the fervor of eternal feelings.
