Since 1791, Girard-Perregaux has never stopped pushing the boundaries of watchmaking. Located in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, Girard Perregaux is part of the late Luigi Macaluso’s Sowind group, a subsidiary of Kering.
The Manufacture holds approximately 80 patents in the watchmaking field and is the originator of many innovative concepts. Expertise, the degree of finishing of the movements, and attention to detail have given it a reputation dating back to the nineteenth century.
Wearing a Girard Perregaux watch means joining the club of famous clients: Alexandre Dumas or Balzac. The factory has supplied both Queen Victoria, Kaiser Wilhelm I and his naval officers, the Duchess of Clermont-Tonnerre. ABOUT THE SEA HAWK LINE:
The name "Sea Hawk" has been used since the creation of this collection in the 1940s to designate particularly robust water-resistant models. After the 1960s and 1970s, the Sea Hawk line evolved into a series of diving watches, which is still the case today. The current design was introduced in 2002 and greatly contributes to the model's unique and strong personality. The cases in this collection are large, with the crown at 4 o’clock protected by a highly original, ergonomic shield.
