18-carat 750 thousandths yellow gold pendant brooch, eagle head guarantee hallmark. Antique French work circa 1900. Stamped and chiseled with beautiful relief and fine details, it represents a chimera spreading its wings, its mouth open on a half pearl set in a closed setting. The lower part is decorated with vegetal scrolls with a small oval pearl as a tassel. The jewel is equipped on the reverse with a brooch attachment system with a gold pin and two rings for use as a pendant.

Very good condition. Some light signs of impact, deformation of the pin. Beautiful warm color of the gold. The chimera is a symbol of strength and perseverance, very fashionable at the end of the 19th century. This is a magnificent authentic antique jewel with character.
