Georg Jensen “Vivianna” Bangle Watch – Mechanical – Torun 227 – Circa 1970/1972 Rare mechanical version of the famous “Vivianna” watch, designed by Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe for Georg Jensen in the early 1970s. An icon of modern Scandinavian design, this model is now exhibited at the MoMA (New York), the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Design Museum Denmark.
Case and rigid bracelet in polished mirror stainless steel, diameter 32 mm, interior 16 cm. Minimalist mirror dial, without indexes or logo, true to Torun’s philosophy: a jewelry-watch conceived as a symbol of “free time.” Manual winding mechanical movement (Swiss ETA caliber), working perfectly with a full power reserve. Vintage crown branded L.U.C (Louis Ulysse Chopard). Reference: 8006 1 / 43780. Screw-down engraved back, lateral hinge, inside of bracelet branded "GEORG JENSEN STAINLESS DENMARK TORUN 227".
Exceptional condition: no dents, no notable scratches, flawless glass and dial. Regular and precise functioning. Delivered in its original Georg Jensen brown box with gold logo.
The first mechanical versions (1969–72) are now extremely rare, as the majority of examples were produced later in quartz.
