Caliber 496 – Serviced. Superb Jaeger-LeCoultre ladies' wristwatch, a rare model featuring an elegant fully twisted bracelet in 18K (750) yellow gold. An iconic jewelry piece emblematic of 1950s style, sold new in 1954 by Vacheron Constantin, then the official distributor of JLC — a highly sought-after double historical signature.
The round case (15 mm diameter) in solid gold is paired with an original uniformly patinated cream dial, applied Arabic numerals and indexes, and gilt dauphine hands. The whole is powered by the Jaeger-LeCoultre 496 mechanical caliber, a miniature movement renowned for its precision and finesse.
The integrated 18K gold bracelet features a twisted “double rope” motif, reminiscent of Parisian jewelry creations from the 1950s (Cartier, VCA). Secure ratchet clasp, also in 18K gold. The watch received a full service in October 2025 (Christian Plantin, Paris – invoice €1200, 24-month warranty). Perfect working condition.
