A splendid Toi & Moi ring from the end of the Victorian era, celebrating the timeless symbol of the “Toi & Moi”. Made around 1890, this creation perfectly illustrates the romantic charm of the period. Two old brilliant-cut diamonds, totaling approximately 1.67 carats (color H/J, clarity VS), are surrounded by ten other old-cut diamonds of 0.90 carat (color H/K, clarity VS/I), bringing the total weight to 2.57 carats. Set in 18-carat red gold with touches of platinum, the delicate curve of the setting and the refined craftsmanship evoke the whispers of eternal love, making this piece a precious heirloom and a poetic testament to Victorian romance.

Style
End of the Victorian era: Victorian decorative arts refer to the style of decorative arts from the Victorian period. This era is known for its eclectic revival and interpretation of historical styles, as well as for the introduction of intercultural influences from the Middle East and Asia into furniture, accessories, and interior decoration.
Victorian design is widely perceived as having shown a regrettable excess of ornamentation. The Arts and Crafts movement, the aesthetic movement, the Anglo-Japanese style, and Art Nouveau all have their origins at the end of the Victorian era.

Style specifics
The late or aesthetic Victorian period – Experts divide the reign of Queen Victoria, also called the Victorian era (1837-1901), into three periods of about twenty years each: the Romantic Victorian period (1837-1860), the Grand Victorian period (1860-1880), and the late or aesthetic Victorian period (1880-1901).
We consider this to be the late or aesthetic Victorian period.
The jewelry of this era evolved, moving from heavy pieces to smaller and more romantic ones, often with whimsical motifs. Jewelers used diamonds and brilliant gemstones to create refined and elaborate feminine pieces.
