Very pretty old medal of the Virgin Mary, Art Nouveau period (1900/1915), French work.
It represents the Virgin Mary in profile in a floral decoration on the sides.
The medal is enamelled in blue and green plique a jour, it is branded by the engraver Guilbert (bottom right).
The setting is in 18-carat (750 thousandths) yellow gold, horned-beaked eagle's head hallmark.
Gross weight: 5.4g
Dimensions: 2.5 x 3 cm
Ernest Guilbert (1848-1920) took courses at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts.
The medal is sold alone without a chain, possibility of adding one upon request.
