Vintage 18-carat solid gold (750 thousandths) pinky signet ring and solid silver, stamped with an eagle's head guarantee hallmark and a master goldsmith's lozenge hallmark. French work from the 1980s/1990s branded “Christofle” inside the band. The ring features a wide band with three gadroons, the gold one interspersed between those in silver. It is centered with the same motif of three vertically positioned gadroons.
In 2025, the Museum of Decorative Arts dedicated a major exhibition to the maison of Christofle silversmithing. It aimed to show how, from its founding in the 1830s to the present day, this line of genius silversmiths, initiated by Charles Christofle (1805-1863) and Henri Bouilhet (1830-1910), transformed the lines and decorations of silver to disseminate them into everyday life. This ring is part of this transition, as the Christofle maison began creating this type of jewelry in the 1980s.
