Style
Halfway between late Victorian style and the Belle Époque, Victorian decorative arts refer to the style of decorative arts of the Victorian era. This period is known for its eclectic revival and interpretation of historical styles, as well as for the introduction of intercultural influences from the Middle East and Asia into furniture, accessories, and interior decoration.

Victorian design is widely regarded as having displayed a regrettable excess of ornamentation.
The Belle Époque is a period of European social history that began at the end of the 19th century and lasted until the First World War. Taking place during the time of the French Third Republic and the German Empire, the "Belle Époque" was named retrospectively, when it began to be considered a "golden age." The great European powers, new technologies improved living conditions, and commercial arts adapted Renaissance and 18th-century styles to modern forms. In the United States, newly rich and emerging from the Panic of 1873, the comparable era was called the Gilded Age. In the United Kingdom, this period overlaps the end of what is called the Victorian era and the period known as the Edwardian era.

Style specifics
Late Victorian or Aesthetic period – Experts divide the reign of Queen Victoria, also called the Victorian era (1837-1901), into three periods of about twenty years each: the Romantic Victorian period (1837-1860), the Grand Victorian period (1860-1880), and the late or Aesthetic Victorian period (1880-1901).

We consider this to be the late or Aesthetic Victorian period.

The jewelry of this era evolved, moving from heavy pieces to smaller, more romantic pieces, often with whimsical motifs. Jewelers used diamonds and bright gemstones to create refined and elaborate feminine pieces.
