Chimera brooch in 18k 750/1000e yellow gold enhanced with a small rose, wearable as a brooch, or even as a pendant (2 hooks to pass a very fine chain). This ancient jewel set with a very small rose-cut diamond illustrates the great imaginary bestiary of the 19th century: the Chimera, reproduced here in a lively plant decor, late 19th century, typical Art Nouveau.
Dimensions: approximately 4.3 cm / 3.5 cm
Condition: correct: a small restoration (welding) was made to reattach a small part of the right wing of the chimera, visible on the back; great refinement of the carving, delicate brooch.
