Antique cameo gold earrings
Pair of earrings in Corniola cameos representing the old Myth of the love between Psyche and Eros widely represented in the literature and Arts: sculptures; paintings etc.
All mounted in 14K yellow gold (touchstone tested) with down an embossed gold decoration. An old hallmark is on the hooks. End of the 19th century. From a family collection in Rome. They are in perfect condition.

On the Top we have the head of Eros watching and Down a large drop with Psyche and Eros kissing each other surrounded by flowers. The figures are very carefully hand-carved and full of precious details. They are a little old masterpiece of Art for the Grand Tour tourist of the 19th century visiting Italy. The quality of the carving is just amazing!
