Ring Art Deco in platinum adorned with an old-cut diamond in the center, surrounded by 15 synthetic rubies.
The synthetic ruby, first produced at the beginning of the 20th century thanks to the Verneuil process, experienced particular growth during the Art Deco period. Its bright color and purity make it a highly valued material among jewelers. In the 1920s-1930s, it was widely used to create geometric patterns emblematic of the Art Deco style, often in combination with onyx, platinum, and diamond. The setting beneath the stones is openwork.
