19th century “knot” bracelet
In 18k yellow gold opening rush andsilver 800, knot-shaped, centered with a very pretty cushion-cut sapphire weighing approximately 0.90 ct, flanked by two lines of rose-cut diamonds.
19th century period.
French work. Trace of master's mark.
Sapphire dimensions: 5.85 x 5.21 x 3.48 mm approximately
Internal diameter: approximately 6 cm.
Internal length: approximately 17.5 cm.
Ratchet clasp with safety chain.
Weight: 14.7 g (18k – 750/1000 and silver 800/1000 – eagle head and rhinoceros head (from 1847)).
Condition: Excellent overall condition. A tiny flaw is to be noted on the diamonds. The sapphire is magnificent: intense color, very few inclusions. Functional clasp. Slight oxidation near the sapphire.
