This 18-karat gold pendant depicts the Hindu goddess Lakshmi seated in the lotus position, surrounded by a halo of diamonds. Designed by Orly Marcel, the image is beautifully detailed: an intricate face, a vessel of water, and the goddess's four arms. The image is even more detailed when viewed from beneath a loop, where its subtle intricacies are even more evident.

A beaded border creates a beautiful outline around the pendant, which is surrounded by bezel-set diamonds, creating an almost floral motif. The locket is attached to a bail adorned with a four-petaled flower, each adorned with a diamond. The image of Lakshmi is meticulously polished, while the back of the pendant features a beautiful matte surface.

Orly Marcel grew up in Tel Aviv and the United States, and spent time in India where she studied yoga and developed a passion for Eastern philosophy. Her work is "created with intention and imbued with meaning, and her sense of balance and proportion evokes a sense of calm and serenity."

The pendant contains 34 natural diamonds of 1 mm, for a TCW of 1/3 carat.

The locket measures 2.22 cm x 1.9 cm, plus a decorative 10 x 6.5 mm bail. This opens to fit a chain and closes with a simple click. A safety clasp provides added protection. The coin weighs 6.46 grams. Marked on the back: 18 karat and OM.
