18k Gold Double Ball Drop Earrings in Neo-Etruscan Style
This is a stunning pair of 18k gold double ball drop earrings in the Etruscan Revival style. Each earring features two neo-Etruscan style twisted wire balls or beads in 18k gold. They attach to an 18k gold shepherd's hook ear wire. They hang from a thin 18-karat gold chain. The movement of the earrings is fun and lively. At the bottom of the wire work balls is a single cut 2mm diamond, adding a surprise sparkle to the earrings.
Total weight is 4.1 grams. The top of the hook to the bottom of the ball measures 1 7/8" and the diameter of the balls is 3/8". The earrings are 18 carat gold. The balls date from around 1880, this type of neo-Etruscan style wire work is typically Portuguese.
