Created around the 1980s, this 18k gold pendant features a bold shape with a bail integrated into the design. A one-carat round brilliant diamond is set in the center, framed by a large, horizontal oval gold pendant. The bail, a large, statement-making element, extends from the oval pendant and folds back on itself to hang from a chain. The diamond is bezel-set in platinum, which accentuates its size, making it inseparable from the diamond and the bezel. The bezel then descends to attach to the oval pendant, where the piece transforms into yellow gold.

This round brilliant natural diamond is beautiful and pure, with a magnificent sparkle. Its clarity is VS1 and its color is K. It measures 6.7 mm in diameter and 3.75 mm in thickness, for an approximate weight of 1.09 carats.

The pendant is hallmarked 18 carat and was purchased in England, so it is likely an English piece. It weighs 7 grams and measures 1.6 cm x 2.2 cm. The bail opens and closes, allowing it to be hung on a chain that has already been worn. The clasp is very secure and closes with a precise click.

We love this versatile piece, which pairs perfectly with a larger chain. The pendant can be worn lower on the chest or higher on the neck for a choker effect.
