This stunning domed ring from the late Victorian era, in 14-carat yellow gold, features a filigree floral motif, with delicate flowers and leaves rising from the band up to the dome of the ring. Five natural antique topazes, arranged in a cross, are the focal point of the ring. Rows of garnets are arranged symmetrically around the central topaz. The garnets are bead-set and integrated into the floral filigree motif; the topazes are bead- and prong-set.

The ring is adorned with five natural antique blue topazes, each about 5.5 to 6 mm in diameter and 3.7 mm thick, for a total weight of 3.75 carats. These antique topazes are unique because, unlike contemporary topazes, which are generally heat-treated using a process invented in the 1950s, their blue color was acquired naturally while they were still underground. The stones are old European cut, with open culets and small tables, all hand-cut, attesting to the age of the ring. The ring is also adorned with 14 natural antique garnets ranging in size from 1.75 to 2.5 mm.

The face of the ring measures 5/8" x 7/8" and is 5/8" high.

The band measures 2.7 mm wide.

The ring weighs 4.5 grams. Unhallmarked.
