Style:
Victorian - Victorian decorative arts refer to the style of decorative arts from the Victorian era. This period is known for its eclectic revival and interpretation of historical styles, as well as the introduction of intercultural influences from the Middle East and Asia into furniture, accessories, and interior decoration. Victorian design is widely seen as having displayed a regrettable excess of ornamentation. The Arts and Crafts movement, the Aesthetic movement, the Anglo-Japanese style, and Art Nouveau all find their origins at the end of the Victorian era.

Additional information:
The conventional Buddhist tradition counts 108 beads, symbolizing the mortal desires of humanity. This number is attributed to the Mokugenji Sutra (Soapberry Seed), in which Buddha Shakyamuni asked King Virudhaka to make these beads and recite the Three Jewels of Buddhism. Later, various Buddhist schools retained this number of beads or divided them in two or four, for the sake of conciseness or simplicity.
A decorative tassel is sometimes attached to the beads, flanked by talismans or amulets according to local tradition. Since prayer beads are often painted with pigments, various traditional schools assign the beads a consecration ritual by the Sangha, intended to "open the eyes" in order to attain Enlightenment, specific to the karma of each believer.
