Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Alarm – Caliber P489/1 – 18K Gold – 1953/1954 – Serviced – Original box.
Magnificent 1950s Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox, equipped with the manual caliber P489/1, one of the first wristwatch alarm movements ever developed.
Entirely in 18K (750) gold, it embodies the expertise of the “Grande Maison” during the most creative period in its history. The rose gold case (32 mm), warm and elegant, is in excellent condition, with sharp edges and a preserved finish.
The original two-tone champagne/silver dial, unrestored, features a superb even patina, without oxidation, with applied indexes and gold dauphine hands.
Double crown: alarm at 2 o’clock, time setting at 4 o’clock. New plexiglass. The watch is powered by the P489/1 caliber, serviced at ABP Concept, Paris in October 2025: complete cleaning, oiling, adjustment, alarm check. Perfect operation, crisp and loud alarm. Movement branded JLC, case number 648043A/movement number 1068032.
Mounted on a new black crocodile strap branded ABP Concept, with Jaeger-LeCoultre gold-plated pin buckle. Original Jaeger-LeCoultre box provided—rare for this model. A sought-after piece, hard to find in this authentic rose gold, serviced and ready-to-wear configuration: the quintessence of the mechanical charm of the 1950s, with Jaeger-LeCoultre’s iconic alarm complication.
