Van Cleef & Arpels at Watches and Wonders 2025: an exceptional meeting between watchmaking and poetry
To thesecond-hand of the 2025 edition of the Watches and Wonders show in Geneva, Van Cleef & Arpels reaffirms its status as a goldsmith of dreams and feelings, by unveiling watchmaking creations where love and poetry intertwine with virtuosity. Faithful to its Parisian heritage, the Maison pays homage to Paris, the City of Light, a source of eternal inspiration, and offers pieces that celebrate the magic of shared moments.

Poetic Complications: Four New Landscapes of the Heart
The collection Poetic Complications created in 2010, awarded at the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix, is now enriched with four new watches, each evoking a moment of the day on the famous Lovers' Bridge: dawn, morning, evening and moonlight. Thanks to a highly sophisticated automaton movement, the figures come together at noon and midnight to exchange a tender kiss, thus offering a lively and poetic spectacle twice a day.
The dials are adorned with delicate shades, illustrating the progression of time through light and color, while the legendary couple continues their love story against the backdrop of eternal Paris. These creations combine mastery of artistic crafts—enamelling, engraving, and gem-setting—with mechanical excellence, transforming every second into a moment of wonder.
This miniature ballet embodies the Poetic Time dear to Van Cleef & Arpels, where watchmaking becomes the theater of emotion through 4 models: Lady Arpels Lovers' Ball Automaton, Lady Arpels Lovers' Bridge Dawn, Lady Arpels Lovers' Bridge Morning, Lady Arpels Lovers' Bridge Evening and Lady Arpels Lovers' Bridge Moonlight. Everyone isequipped with a self-winding mechanical movement, a double retrograde mechanism and on-demand animation. Their sets are made of white or pink gold and decorated with diamonds, sapphires and enamel. They are distinguished from each other by the colors, the painted decoration on the dial, the stylized characters on the hands, and for one model by the strap which is made of leather and not set.

The Cadenas watch: a classic reinvented
An emblem of Van Cleef & Arpels watchmaking since 1935, the watch Padlock reinvents itself this year in a precious version: yellow gold case paved with snow-set diamonds, row of princess-cut sapphires. Its sloping dial, the model's signature, allows for discreet reading of the time, while the whole thing is worn like a real jewel, powered by a Swiss quartz movement.

Extraordinary Objects: The Art of the Poetic Automaton
Van Cleef & Arpels also unveils two new exceptional automatons.
The first is Birth of Love features Cupid, sculpted in white, pink and yellow gold set with diamonds, the character rises from a basket of lacquered feathers to the rhythm of a chiming melody; while a rotating ring indicates the time thanks to two lacquered and set feathers.
The second is added to the collection Planetarium - registered in the universe of Poetic Astronomy dear to Van Cleef & Arpels - and is a unique automaton making the Sun and the planets of the solar system dance according to their real rotation, while a shooting star in pink gold, diamonds and rubies Mysterious Setting flies over the stage to indicate the time on a 24-hour clock, all accompanied by crystal-clear music.

High Jewelry: the Mysterious Ribbon watch
Finally, the watch Mysterious Ribbon embodies the quintessence of the jewelry know-how of the Maison. Inspired by the world of couture, it wraps the wrist with a ribbon paved with diamonds, sapphires and emeralds, enhanced by the technique of Mysterious SettingA central diamond overlooks the dial, revealing the time in a setting of light and intense colors, where the metal fades to better allow the poetry of the stones to speak.
