This Movado baignoire, double-signed branded Bvlgari, ref. 275-099, is a refined example of mid-20th-century watch design. It features a slightly elongated and curved oval "baignoire" case, crafted in 18K white gold, characteristic of the period and comparable in spirit to the Cartier baignoire. It belongs to the first generation of models produced by Movado after its merger with Zenith and Mondia in 1969.
This example stands out for its silvered dial bearing the double Bvlgari signature, a highly sought-after configuration reflecting the importance of prestigious retailers at the time. The clean treatment of the dial reinforces the purity of the design while highlighting its elegant and architectural character.
