Pendant composed of an ancient Roman copper coin mounted on a bail and accompanied by an 18kt rose gold chain (owl hallmark).
The coin, a "follis" or "nummus", presents on one side the profile portrait of Diocletian, Roman emperor of the 3rd-4th centuries (284-305) crowned with the maxim "Domino Nostro Diocletiano Felicissimo Senior Augusti" (A Our Lord Diocletian Most Blessed Augustus the Elder). On the other side, Providence and Rest are represented face to face, surrounded by the words "Providentia Deorum Quies Augustorum" (Divine Providence the Rest of the Augustans).
