Roman coin ring Septimius Severus
Ring in 18kt yellow gold (hallmark: owl) adorned with an ancient Roman coin in silver.
The coin, a denarius, presents on the obverse the profile of Septimius Severus, Roman emperor of the 2nd-3rd centuries (193-211), haloed with the words "Severus Pius Augustus" (Severus, Pious Augustus). The reverse reveals Rome seated holding the palladium in her right hand and a scepter in her left hand. Behind her, a shield. The figure is crowned with the maxim “Restitutor Urbis” (The Restorer of the City).
