Lovely vintage harem ring composed of five rings in 18Kt pink gold (hallmark: weevil) set with pink and blue sapphires.
Probably oriental work from the first half of the 20th century.

Height of central pattern: 1.50 cm
Ring size: 52 (diameter 16.50/US 5.75)
Please note, the ring being wide, it is small, rather suitable for a Ring size 51.
Condition: very light micro scratches on the gold parts, chips, micro-shocks and natural inclusions on the stones, see photos.
The Harem ring, or Turkish ring, is said to have its origins in the Ottoman Empire, where the Sultan offered his favorites an additional ring each year for their loyalty. It was brought up to date in the 19th century with the Orientalism movement.
