Pique is the old (and lost!) art of inlay small gold points on the tortoiseshell or ivory. This art started in Naples in the 18th century. Here we have a lovely antique pair of ivory earrings with a very long flat drop full of small gold points also in two color gold. An incredible perfect work of the end of the 19th century reaching a very elegant and detailed style. The Top is a round carved element.
The earrings are very nice to wear and very light. From Rome, end of the 19th century. 14K Gold (touchstone tested). They are in perfect condition.
