Vintage French Belle Epoque diamond and natural ruby cross engagement ring.

Period: 1890
Material: two tones of precious metal, the main part being in 18-carat yellow gold and the white parts in white gold or platinum. (tested with touchstone)
Diamonds:
- Two old brilliant cut diamonds with an estimated weight of approximately 0.24 ct color and clarity G/I, vs/si
- 22 rose and senel cut diamonds. A senaille is a simplified rose cut diamond, a small sliver of diamond with perhaps a few polished facets.
Precious stones: a natural ruby with an estimated weight of approximately 0.71 ct
Hallmarks: The French control hallmark for 18-karat gold representing an eagle's head which was in use in France from around 1838.
