In swirling white gold wire, set and stitched with small modern-cut round diamonds (H color, VS purity) and a drop of thirteen beautiful oval and round sapphires. These latter have a beautiful bright to intense color, weighing between approximately 0.80 ct for the largest (diameter: approximately 6.3 x 5.1 mm) and approximately 0.25 ct for the smallest.
French work (French eagle's head hallmarks for 18k gold on the body of the jewel and on the pin).
Master goldsmith's mark.

History & Style: This comet-shaped brooch reflects the renewed interest in space from the end of the 1950s and into the 1970s, linked in particular to the space race led by the USSR and the States. -United in the middle of the Cold War.
The gray gold threads punctuated with stones symbolize the hairs or halos that comets leave in their wake. The increasingly wide opening of these threads and the finer stones allow us to feel the swirling movement of the advancing comet.
