Des médailles qui valent (plus que) de l'or

Medals that are worth (more than) gold

Do you know Paul Brandt?

An emblematic artist of the 1920s, little known to the general public, Paul Brandt has been rediscovered, notably thanks to his first monograph published in December 2022 (Paul Brandt by Bleue-Marine Massard, Norma editions). This Swiss jeweler knew how to embrace Art Nouveau asArt Deco, an inspiration for her thoughtful jewelry. He was attracted by the applied arts, particularly by the creation of medals and jewelry. In 1925, he participated in the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts, which brought him international fame. Paul Brandt undoubtedly considers his jewelry to be works of art and luckily, 58 Facettes is pleased to offer you a medal branded of this artist.

Paul Brandt's religious medals

We are pleased to present this medal by Paul Brandt, "medals that Paul Brandt produced throughout his career: medals of the Virgin, but also representing Christ or saints, such as Saint Critsopher, executed most of the time on meat or mother-of-pearl, sometimes enhanced with small pearls or diamonds and made in a wide variety of shapes. Some were struck by the Arthus Bertrand house, with which he collaborated on numerous occasions and whose matrices are still preserved." (extract from Paul Brandt by Bleue-Marine Massard, Norma editions).
