This is a powerful 14k gold signet ring from around 1900. In the center is a shield with a rearing lion in the middle of a background of three scales. Above the shield is a knight's helmet with scrolling foliage, and below is a banner with the words "Proprium deus et patrium" (which translates to "God and patriotism").
The ring is marked 14k. William M. Morris Jr.'s name is engraved inside the ring. Perfect classic signet ring, it can be used as a wax seal. The ring weighs 14.85 grams. Top measures 3/4" x 5/8".
Ring size 6.5 but due to the shape of the signet ring, it fits more like a 6.25. A superb unisex ring.
