A marvel of Georgian craftsmanship, this 18k yellow gold ring dating from circa 1820 exudes timeless charm. Made in the south of the Netherlands, it features an intricate pattern of eleven "spiders" atop a stem formed from six twisted wires, each soldered side by side and adorned with alternating gold flowers and diamonds. This design, prevalent from the 16th to the 19th century in Holland, encapsulates not only the artistic leanings of the period, but also possible symbolism yet to be deciphered, providing a tangible connection to the rich cultural heritage of its era.
