Antique necklace in solid 18-carat (750 thousandths) pink gold, eagle's head guarantee hallmark and master goldsmith's diamond hallmark. French regional work from the end of the 19th century. Composed of two rows of belcher chain held by a chiseled rectangular ratchet clasp. The clasp features a beaded pattern surrounding a fine central oval decoration enameled in blue on contrasting yellow gold. This type of sentiment necklace was usually given at weddings.

Very good general condition. Discreet traces of use. On a chain, a slightly larger ring. The clasp has a small dent and missing enamel. It clips very well and stays securely in place. It is a rare old necklace in its original, unmodified condition, with a story, which also gives it its charm.
