Seal pendant in yellow gold, falling from two rings decorated with chiseled and guilloché flowers. It ends with a gadrooned base, decorated with a flowered frieze, set on a leaf with a large rectangular-sized amethyst with sides weighing approximately 25 cts, of beautiful color, but not engraved.
Late 19th century.
It can be worn as a pendant at the end of a long chain.
Dimensions of the pendant: approximately 4 x 2.2 x 1.8 cm.
Dimensions of the amethyst: approximately 20.6 x 16.8 mm (depth not measurable).
Gross weight: 13.1 g (18k gold – 750/1000).
Condition: On the middle loop, on either side, two “lack of material” are visible. They are exactly at the same level, at the widest point of the pendant. These gaps are normal and correspond to the molds and pliers used for the manufacture of this seal.
Amethyst is a very beautiful color. It has a few micro-scratches from use.
