L’or rose, l’alliage idéal de l’alliance

Pink gold, the ideal alliance alloy

A big trend, pink gold is becoming more and more appreciated by lovers of jewelry. Almost all jewelry houses offer this very fashionable type of gold. For example, Pomellato is one of the houses that uses pink gold the most, it is its trademark.

What is rose gold?

Rose gold does not exist in its pure state, but rather is the result of a mixture of several metals. This mixture gives pink gold its color and resistance for use in jewelry. In general, it is composed of 75% fine (yellow) gold, 20% copper and 5%silver to obtain this pink color, but the proportions can vary to obtain different shades of pink, or even red gold in some cases.

What are the reasons to choose rose gold for your wedding jewelry?

It is likely that the first reason you want wedding rings in rose gold is that you are looking for something special and unique, which reflects the uniqueness of your couple.

This is completely justified, as your wedding rings are an important symbol of your love and commitment. The second advantage of rose gold is its great resistance. Like white gold and 750 thousandths (18 carat) yellow gold, it is both precious and robust, which means it will tend to patina rather than scratch or wear. This is particularly important for jewelry that you will wear every day, like your wedding rings, which will inevitably experience some wear and tear over time. Rose gold is therefore a wise choice if you want rings that will stay beautiful and not deteriorate too quickly, just like your love.

How to match rose gold?

Italian designers, known for their expertise in jewelry, know how to perfectly combine rose gold and white gold jewelry for a result of great beauty and absolute refinement. Even if your engagement rings or other jewelry you wear is not the same color, the combination of rose gold and white gold is simply beautiful. Likewise, the subtle pairing of rose gold with yellow gold creates a delicate shade of rose gold. When it comes to stones, a rose gold setting will highlight precious stones like diamond, ruby, THE sapphire rose, garnet, amethyst or rhodonite. Of course, it all depends on everyone's personal taste.
