DIAMOND TANZANITE RING

An incredible rarity

Tanzanite was discovered in 1954 by a semi-nomadic people of pastoralists and hunters coming mainly between Kenya and Tanzania. Legend has it that they discovered the shiny stones on the ground after a fire which completely ravaged the savannah. Their shiny effect is due to heat because, when tanzanites are heated to more than 500 degrees they turn blue, whereas they were initially brown in color! Studying at length to find out their origins, these stones are then sent to the Gemological Institute of America. After some study, they found that this stone was then unknown in this variety of blue. Finally, a few years later, it was the then owner of Tiffany and Co who fell under the spell of Tanzanite. The only deposit of the stone remains Tanzania, the only mine located at the foot of Kilimanjaro, extends over approximately 20 km2. This stone is therefore one of the rarest and most exclusive in the world.

Regarding its virtues and benefits, tanzanite is a stone that invokes gentleness and kindness. It is a so-called “self-realization” stone, it brings out the best in ourselves and strengthens the confidence of some. Finally, its value rivals diamonds, sapphires and even emeralds. And this for several reasons, firstly, it is extremely rare, its brilliance is incredible, it is highly coveted in luxury jewelry and is accessible in a single deposit in the world.
