La Nature Sauvage de Cartier : collection de Haute Joaillerie

The Wild Nature of Cartier : High Jewelry collection

Do you know the Nature Sauvage high jewelry collection from Cartier ? This takes a new look at the fauna of the Maison through new and unexpected encounters, structured in two chapters, which highlight the technical expertise of Cartier.

Chapter 1 - Iconic Animals

There Maison gives new life to his bestiary widely recognizable classic: the panther of Cartier, the embodiment of freedom, power and the emancipation of women, which it has made its emblem since 1914, but also its fetish reptiles.

Panthère Shimmering

In this jewel, the panther stares at us with its emerald eyes, enhanced with touches of black lacquer. The necklace unfolds around a composition of rubellites, chrysoprases, emeralds, but also diamonds and onyx that evoke the animal's spotted coat.

Panthère gushing

This ring-bracelet tames the panther to the point of wearing it on the hand, in the form of a fully articulated hybrid jewel. The feline's body is adorned with diamonds, speckled with sapphires, it looks at us with its emerald eyes, protecting between its paws a hidden treasure: an 8.63-carat Zambian emerald.

Amphista

A necklace where two reptiles with proportions and volumes that are sometimes organic, sometimes geometric, surround the neck of its owner. Each is adorned with alternating diamonds and emeralds to evoke scales, their heads are crowned with kite diamonds, while nine octagonal Colombian emeralds with a total weight of 14.72 carats are housed between their bodies.

Sibaya

This jewel is inspired by the crocodile, and more precisely by its scales, transcribed in sugarloaf emeralds, of a characteristic bright green and round volumes which bring softness and refer to the shimmering of the sea and the undulations of the reptile in the water.

Chapter 2 - Unexpected Creatures

Vamana

Often depicted in a naturalistic manner, here the elephant of Cartier becomes more abstract in a necklace with geometric shapes set with triangle, diamond and kite-cut diamonds, alongside onyx and emeralds emphasizing the contrast.

Koaga

The zebra, a savannah animal dear to the Maison, is depicted in profile, and radiates with the precise and graphic features of its design, sublimating its striped coat with lines set with onyx and brilliant-cut and emerald-cut diamonds. As a pendant, an emerald-cut diamond and a pear-shaped rubellite of 6.25 carats.

Celestun

The Celestun flamingo, a familiar species in the fauna of Cartier, is presented with its diamond plumage, beak enhanced with black lacquer and pink gold, is surrounded by emeralds and aquamarines (an impressive 38.50 carats) evoking its natural aquatic environment in the reeds. This set alone reflects more than 1000 hours of jewelry work.

Mochelys

A turtle is drawn at the end of a necklace with sinuous lines that hide it, under an imposing 71.90 carat rubellite. This one is also wearable in its entirety, in the form of a brooch.

Chryseis

A necklace in the image of a butterfly with wings speckled with onyx, diamonds, chalcedony with a 63.76 carat rubellite as a pendant; the favorite insect of the Maison offers a vibrant palette that renews the iconic red-green-black trio.
